Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia merupakan bahasa kedua yang digunakan oleh para murid sekolah dasar yang terletak di pegunungan Papua. Mereka lebih fasih menggunakan bahasa daerah dibandingkan bahasa nasional. Kondisi ini membuat siswa kesulitan memahami penjelasan guru di sekolah. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk melihat pengaruh implementasi game based learning terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan perkembangan emosi di kelas Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan campuran Kemampuan kognitif diukur dengan pretest-posttest sedangkan perkembangan emosi menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa, game based learning memberikan pengaruh positif dalam kemampuan kognitif dan perkembangan emosi murid di kelas Bahasa Indonesia.
